Since I do not know who those girls are (or care), I cannot violate their privacy by identifying them. Which I wouldn’t do anyway, since they are not the subject of this. I am not a Facebook user, and the individual who is that sent me that particular picture chose not to identify him or herself, apart from an IP address in the US. Perhaps Queen Helena needs to be more discerning about who he accepts as friends. Since he is the one that decided to start all this by descending into the gutter of personal attacks — after hypocritically pointing out that he would not tolerate the same in his blog, as I pointed out earlier — he can explain to his two lady friends why their picture is here. Maybe they would be interested to learn about the sort of character they’re hanging around with.
Your bitter reaction just tends to prove my point. Despite your entreaty, “If you want people to listen to you, then write with some decency,” it is quite obvious that you have listened to me, decent or not. And that’s the problem with people like Queen Helena; we know we can’t expect the Internet audience to be as discerning as we are — you are a perfect example of that — so it is in everyone’s better interests if we provide substance and objectivity. I might go so far as to say it is our duty to do so, since we have the resources — such as his blog, or this one, or the others I have something to do with — at our disposal. He is the worst possible example to Filipinos, because his entire message prioritizes conformity over debate, and when that is challenged, rather than use the abilities he has to respond and either prove his point of view or learn something for his own benefit, he resorts to censorship and childishness.
You don’t like it? Too f*ckin bad. You have the same two choices you’ve always had: think about it and respond as productively as you know how, or remain blissfully ignorant. I, for one, actually have much greater concern for everything Filipino to let the damaging influences of people like Queen Helena go unchecked, and if you actually cared as much as you imply, you would too.
